YIELDED
Yielding is a
technical process where a
pressure vessel is filled and
pressured to an extent that the
vessel reaches its original
design capacity of volume and
pressure. The vessel may undergo
service up to its design capacity
innumerable times. Once the
vessels pressure and volume
is released the vessel returns to
its original state without any
permanent deformation. If the
vessel volume and pressure is
exceeded beyond its design
capacity, the vessel yields
meaning a permanent deformation
occurs and the vessel is never
the same again.
Once the believer
receives the Holy Spirit, their
earthen vessel permanently
deforms and they can never be the
same again. Yielded
and still, this phrase has
been constantly spoken in my
spirit this afternoon. After
reading the words to Have
Thine Own Way, now I know
that I am filled with thy spirit,
yielded and still.
Have Thine Own
Way, Lord
Adelaide A.
Pollard, 1907
Have Thine own
way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the
clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy
will,
While I am waiting, yielded and
still.
Have Thine own
way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master,
today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me
just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.
Have Thine own
way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I
pray!
Power, all power, surely is
Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior
divine.
Have Thine own
way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold oer my being absolute
sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit till all
shall see
Christ only, always, living in
me.
